Farmers State Bank has about 265 stockholders, most of whom are local residents or have a local business interest. The stock is not traded publicly. Occasionally, some shares are made available for sale to those who have asked to be included on a list of potential purchasers. Directorship
The Board of Directors is composed of 6 directors, three women and three men. Two of the directors work inside the bank as bank officers. The other four are engaged in a variety of careers including the practice of law, residential construction, and veterinary medicine. The directors range in age from 39 to 68 with tenures on the board of 4 years to 30 years. Directors are elected each year by stockholders at the annual stockholders meeting and serve for a term of one year or until the next annual meeting of the stockholders.
